Norway’s Opportunity in the 21st Century

We need such a Renaissance in our troubled world today.  As Italy launched the European Renaissance of the 1500s, so is Norway absolutely able to launch a global Renaissance in the 21^st Century.

Confronted with the immense challenges of the Climate Crisis—which many of us view with denial or indifference or growing anxiety—we can turn our frightening situation into an historic opportunity on a planetary scale.  The solution, of course, is to move as rapidly as possible from the burning of coal and gas and oil to harnessing the clean energy from the sun and the wind, from ocean currents and the heat in the Earth, and eventually from green hydrogen and fusion.

However, we have no global blueprint—no comprehensive plan—for reaching 100% clean energy in every country around the world.  Instead, we have squabbling political parties, trade wars, military wars, unrelenting oil subsidies, stock market fluctuations, bottlenecks in supply chains, and assassins in the rainforest.

We need to rise above the chaos with a blueprint—the Big Picture—so that people around the world can work together toward a clear and urgent goal.
